Nick Thayer spent his childhood making strange noises out of strange things, and spending all his money on guitars and questionable records. It wasn’t long until he realized that it would take more than a job in a coffee house to complete his Queen collection so he decided to make music pay for itself. After a number of years in various pretentious funk-rock bands with various pretentious names Nick had the misfortune to end up DJing at a mate’s party. “I borrowed some turntables in the morning, figured out how to use them in the afternoon, and DJed that night”, he recalls.
